About LOZGA
At LOZ Gridiron Academy, we’re committed to developing the complete athlete—physically, mentally, and fundamentally. While our roots are in football, our expanded focus includes sports performance training for both boys and girls who want to elevate their athletic potential.
Our mission is to provide high-quality, age-appropriate training that builds strength, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and confidence in youth athletes. Every session is designed to improve movement efficiency, boost athletic IQ, and teach the fundamentals that translate across all sports—not just football.
Led by experienced coaches with decades of combined coaching and teaching experience, LOZGA offers small-group sessions and 1-on-1 private coaching in a positive, structured environment where athletes are encouraged to work hard, learn the “why,” and have fun.
We also believe in using athletics as a tool to teach character, leadership, and discipline—because long after the game ends, those qualities stay with them for life.
Whether your child is preparing for their first season or sharpening skills for their next level, LOZGA is where young athletes come to train with purpose and grow with confidence.

My name is Zack hess
My name is Zack, and I bring over 15 years of experience as a certified Strength & Conditioning Coach and nearly two decades in education and athletics. I hold a Master of Science in Kinesiology, which allows me to approach athletic development with a deep understanding of human movement, biomechanics, and performance training.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with athletes of all ages and abilities—designing programs that not only build strength, speed, and agility but also prioritize injury prevention, movement quality, and confidence. I’ve coached in both academic and athletic settings, combining my background in teaching with my passion for sports performance.
Whether I’m training a beginner or a competitive athlete, my approach is rooted in fundamentals, accountability, and long-term development. Every athlete is different, and I pride myself on creating a positive, personalized environment where young athletes are challenged to improve while also learning discipline, leadership, and the value of hard work.
At LOZ Gridiron Academy, my goal is simple: to help young athletes train smarter, move better, and perform with purpose—on the field and beyond.
